Charlene and Chun to make an Idol drama?

On the latest issue of Ming Pao Weekly No. 2071. Butterfly Lovers staring Charlene and Chun is soon to be release on September 11th, and Charlene's next project is with Show Lou, <>. Having very good chemsitry and well liked by the media, Chun and Charlene have had rumors since their first meeting. Seeing how good they are together, Charlene mentioned in the article, Chun's manager tries to play the match maker by putting them in another collaboration, an idol series/drama. Charlene said that she is 25, not that young anymore if she is to make an idol drama it`s about time. She said she is afraid if she waits any longer she would be too old.

When talking about the plot of the possible idol serie, Charlene said she doesn't want the idol drama to be regular dramas focusing alot on mushy love, pet love, etc. Charlene said since Chun and herself love to eat, she wants it to have a cooking theme. If possible have lots of food from all over the place, and being able to taste them all while filming. Also saying, Chun will probably be the happiest one.

She jokingly mentioned a storyline like this to Chun's manager: Herself is a cook representating Hong Kong and Chun is a cook representing Taiwan [note: not necessary a cook, but someone good with food]. They both start out hating eachother, not on good terms. However, they both run into a competitor and so Chun and Charlene teams up to win the competitor, then the story goes on from there. However, no date of been set, they would have to see if eachother's schedule fit.

Gallen Lo: Would Collaborate with Jessica Hsuan again!

In the beginning of July, Gallen Lo admitted his divorce in this magazine. Even though he has insisted that the breakup of his marriage was not caused by a third party, Jessica Hsuan is already being indicted into this incident. Recently, when Gallen returned to Hong Kong to attend a function, he was relentlessly questioned by the press and has become the object of their interest even though his lifestyle has not changed at all since his divorce. Gallen already predicted that Jessica would be hounded by the press and informed her about his divorce before it became public news. In addition, Gallen will remain in Hong Kong until November to film a 40 episode series for TVB. It hasn’t been decided yet who is female co-star will be, but Gallen wouldn’t mind working with Jessica again.

Ever since Gallen Lo admitted his divorce in this magazine’s second monthly issue (7/15), he has remained working in Hong Kong. He has further become the target of the press when reports came out that he had given his wife the $40,000,000 house and that he himself now has no more than $2,000,000 in assets. There are further reports that Jessica Hsuan was the cause of the breakup. To this, Gallen directly responds, “I disclosed the breakup of my marriage because I am part of the entertainment circle. Likes to Film Long Series

As for rumors of Jessica Hsuan being the cause of the breakup, Gallen has already predicted it and so he informed Jessica before news of his divorce became public. He says: “The press is going to go after her, which is something beyond my control.” Gallen is still busy promoting his new series, but will start filming a new series for TVB in November. However, neither his female co-star nor other cast members have been cast yet for the series. However, I have never said that I will relocate to Beijing or somewhere else in the mainland. I’m only considering living quarters so as to make it more convenient when I am working overseas.

As for the new series “When a Dog Loves a Cat,” a lot of people are no doubt looking forward to it because it’s been five years since Gallen has filmed a TVB series aired in Hong Kong. He says: “My only hope is that the audience will enjoy it. Even though I have aspirations for overseas work, there’s no pressure right now to pursue it. WADLAC is very special in that it will feature many dogs and cats. I had a good time filming it, getting the chance to spend time with old friends. After filming, we often would go out for hotpot. It felt like a party oftentimes.”

In WADLAC, Gallen’s relationship with Myolie Wu has changed from family to a romantic couple. Regarding her acting skills, he says: “She is constantly improving and very hardworking. She sets high standard for herself as an artist, and in this regard, I really admire that.” Even though Gallen and Myolie have an age gap of more than ten years, they are still able to exude the feeling of a couple, it seems that Gallen’s youthful appearance may have something to do with that. He says: “I’ve always considered walking to be a form of exercise. I spend an hour power walking every night. Actually, this habit was fostered since I was a child because the building I used to live in Sum Sui Bo doesn’t have a lift. In the fourteen years that I lived there, I had to climb eight flights of stairs everyday. During breaks between filming, I still get around by walking. I don’t sit around much nor eat too much. When filming overseas, I loved eating noodles with spicy foods. I heard somewhere that eating spicy foods is good for the skin, which made me want nothing but spicy foods all the time. Also, I drank a lot of water and two cups of coffee everyday because coffee is good for the body.

Linda will be writting 2 songs herself for her new album,and has already filmed an Music Video for one of the songs she had written earlier. She said "I am not used to being the female lead in the Music Video. I used to be the model for other singers in their Music Video, now i feel that my responsibility is bigger after i am the female lead." She has earlier appeared at TVB's [勁歌金曲] (Jade Solid Gold) as an identity of a singer and sang. Linda said that she felt very nervous, fortunately she have calmed down slowly afterwards and her performance was satisfactory during the recording of Jade Solid Gold.

Niki donated her clothes to charity

Wang Zi (Prince) had to thrust out his sword with a lot of power, and he accidentally sprained his wrist while doing so. Although he had 10 stitches, it has still not completely recovered. Ya Tou, when filming a particular scene at night, accidentally got stabbed in the left elbow. The next day, when she got up, her bed was stained with blood. At first she thought it was her period, but then found out it was from her elbow.

Gillian Chung tells of the pain from sex scandal

Gillian Chung Yan-tung, of the Canto-pop duo Twins, has shared her feelings over the celebrity sex-photo scandal and her "wrong love" for singer-actor Edison Chen, who took the photos.

In a new book called "Angels on Earth", which went on sale yesterday, the singer-actress says she nearly lost her mind when images of her intimate moments with Chen were widely circulated on the internet. "I wanted to leave the city immediately, to get away from everyone, but where could I go? My head exploded, I could only call my mother repeatedly, telling her I needed to rest, and cried day and night." Chung was the first involved party to talk publicly about the incident, but, instead of sympathy, she received scorn and mockery from the public. "When I said I was silly and naive, I didn't refer to the pictures I took; I meant I loved the wrong person," she wrote.

Chung had been criticised for seeming more cheerful after the scandal than she did in 2006, when some photos taken of her in a changing room surfaced. In response, she wrote that she had been so shaken that she had to take a sedative before going on stage.
"I chose not to cry, because I really had taken these pictures, so I had to admit it ... but they [the stolen shots] were taken [from the computer] against my will; of course I was upset," she wrote.

The fallen idol, who has faded from the entertainment scene since the incident, said she had no hatred for Chen - although she wished he had faced the public sooner. She regretted that the scandal had put pressure upon her Twins partner, Charlene Choi Cheuk-yin. "Some people said I should no longer perform because I would affect the good name of Charlene. Others said I should do pornography ... I don't want her to shoulder my burdens."

After Chung's last appearance with Choi, the performance's host, TVB (SEHK: 0511), received more than 2,000 complaints. Mani Fok Man-hei, Emperor Entertainment Group's (EEG) artist management division director, said Chung had agreed to be interviewed about a month ago on the photo scandal, after learning proceeds from the resulting book would go to charity. "The book is about how one survives an adverse situation, and [the photo scandal] was certainly the worst for Gillian," Ms Fok said. "Although it has been a while since the incident happened and Gillian has calmed down a lot, when she talks about it there still are tears in her eyes." She said Chung "wasn't given a proper chance to speak for herself, and having this chance to talk about her experience and feelings makes her feel better".

The book is available at the Economic Digest booth for HK$54. Publishing manager Gary Fung Ka-wai said 400 copies of the book had been sold between Monday afternoon and yesterday. Proceeds of the book, which also features other EEG stars, will go to the Emperor Foundation, a charitable fund operated by Emperor Group, the parent of EEG.

Kevin Cheng Showed Off, Myolie Wu Was Drooling

Yesterday, when Kevin was filming a boat scene for , he revealed his extremely toned body and six-pack abs. In contrast, the other co-star Bosco Wong who felt that his body was not fit enough wore his singlet throughout the shoot. Even his rumoured girlfriend Myolie immediately switched her attention to admiring Kevin.

Kevin, Bosco, Myolie, Aimee Chan, Elaine Yiu, Matthew Ko and the rest of the cast were filming a boat scene for BFIII off the shores of Sai Kung. In this scene, the whole gang discovered a pregnant lady drowning in the sea while they were enjoying themselves on the boat, hence they quickly took off their clothes and jumped in to rescue her.

Among all the male cast present, Kevin had the fittest body with six-pack while Bosco kept his singlet on and did not want to show his body. Bosco totally lost out to Kevin. A small accident also happened during the filming – someone did not warm up properly before jumping into the sea, causing a cramp and had to get out of water. Luckily he was alright after resting.

Boat Scene Was Like A Vacation
Recently, most of the filming of BFIII involved explosions and fire scenes. Wearing those thick firemen uniforms was like going to a sauna; Kevin also mentioned that out of all his filming experience, Burning Flame has been the most grueling. So, yesterday’s boating scene was a welcomed relaxing “vacation”. When asked how he had managed to stay in good shape, Kevin smiled and said “If you want to lose weight, film Burning Flame. I usually lose weight easily and hardly exercise. I only depend on playing tennis and jogging to keep fit. I eat lots of vegetables and less meat; also, whenever I have to work, I will stay away from sweet food.”

When Bosco was asked why he wore singlet throughout the filming, he laughed “Even though my body is ok, but it is still not fit enough.” Bosco’s rumoured girlfriend, Myolie also switched her attention to Kevin. When she was asked whether Kevin or Bosco had a better body, she said “Of course it’s Kevin. He’s known to have a good body. After participating in Strictly Come Dancing, his body is even more muscular now.”

Kevin Cheng Does Not Want to be a "Vacuum Cleaner"

Last week Kevin and Wong Hei were filming BFIII at Aberdeen (香港仔). Since it's a big production, TVB put in a lot of effort for this series. For the filming of a car crash scene on that day, they arranged to have firemen, ambulance at the scene and even closed a vehicle lane to facilitate the filming; it was quite a big deal.

Wong Hei, who was rumoured to be making a lot of noise requesting for contract termination, did not play fireman on that day; he was only a first-aid crew. He did not have much scenes, thus most of the time he sat aside to wait for his turn. Also, the weather was very hot, thus making him rather uninterested.

Kevin who was a fireman on that day, was more pitiful as he had to wear the thick uniform. After just taking a few short steps, he would start sweating already. In that scene, Kevin needed to run out to the middle of the road quite often. With so much smoke and lots of passing cars, Kevin whose health is not that good, quickly covered up his mouth and nose the moment he heard the director yelled "Cut", just to play safe.

During the filming, Kevin would look very seriously at the car that crashed. The moment the director called "cut", he quickly covered up his mouth and nose. The air pollution was horrible.

Niki Praises Kevin

Gallen and Myolie were attending one of the promotional activities for " When A Dog Loves A Cat" 《當狗愛上貓》 in Olympian City yesterday. They had fun dressing the animals up. Gallen pointed out that there are very few TV series in regards to working with pets which is why when he was approached to take part in the series, he agreed right away. He had thought about adopting a puppy but because he would hardly have time to look after it he abandoned that idea. The reporter asked Gallen if everything is fine now, he said he was okay and thanked the reporter for asking but it was private and he didn't want to talk about it.

Gallen and Margie Tsang had to wait for half an hour for Myolie because she was late, but when she arrived she was very apologetic. Negative News Contestant Edelweiss Cheung Win's Miss Hong Kong 2008

Yesterday evening, Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2008 drew to a close. #3 Edelweiss Cheung had alot of negative reports earlier of her clubbing, smoking, kissing with her boyfriend in public and accused of lying etc had not affected her winning. Dark horse #6 Skye Chan performed very well and received 2 awards, 1st runner up and Miss International Goodwill. #11 Sire Ma was awarded Miss Photogenic and 2nd runner up. Although Hot favourite's #4 Samantha Ko and #7 Hilda Leung were placed in the Top 5, they lost out in the end.

22 year old University student Edelweiss Cheung had been a main focus since joining the pageant due to her 5'10 height and figure. She is currently a university student and had been captured earlier in photos of her clubbing, kissing in public with her boyfriend, smoking and accused of telling lies in earlier reports. But this did not affect the judges impression of her winning the title. On the other hand #4 Samantha Ko who was earlier reported to have taken half nude shots, lost out.

#6 Skye Chan Placed 1st Runner Up

#11 Sire Ma win's Miss Photogenic and 2nd Runner Up

2nd Runner up #11 Sire Ma is 20 years old, petite body figure and has a sweet look, she won the Miss Photogenic award. Her performance was very stable and in the end she was placed 2nd Runner up.

Miss Hong Kong winner Edelweiss Cheung had alot of negative news reports during her time in the pageant. Due to her having a bad image and winning the title, Eric Tsang even said she was a unexpected winner. He spoke frankly that before the show the performers and stage crew betted on who the winner would be, only one person betted on Edelweiss Cheung winning the title.

Will do her best to change her image

Edelweiss Cheung doesn't agree with being an unexpected winner. She states that while announcing the Winner resultm although she was quite scared, she personally felt she did a good performance. She also asked the reporters whether they felt she was a unexpeceted winner? She also stated that to handle the pageant well she kept focus on stage and tried her best. Asked whether after winning Miss Hong Kong she would be more careful and avoid smoking, kissing in public? She says she will do her best to change her image.

1st Runner up #6 Skye Chan stated that she was very happy and surprised. She also expressed that as long as you do your best your confidence will naturally shine through. She also complimented on Edelweiss Cheung having a good figure, nice personality and was a suitable choice for a winning. 2nd Runner up Sire Ma was asked whether she thought winner Edelweiss Cheung had a bad image? She states that Edelweiss had already quit smoking. As for things regarding her boyfriend she feel's its other peoples business and not convenient to comment.

During the Debate round #11 Sire Ma and good friend #8 Angela Yiu had to debate with each other. The subject theme was "The one that's most beautiful tonight may not win". Sire Ma who was on the (supporting side) was questioned by Angela Yiu (Objecting side) on which Miss Hong Kong in the past had good looks but no intelligence. Sire Ma couldn't respond immediatley and was speechless. Fortunately her skin conditions had improved and it didn't affect her performance in winning 2 awards.

Not sure whether its due to this year's Miss Hong Kong contestants having a bad image, as this year's show theme is based on Art, very conservative and has changed from recent years, especially the colors of the swimsuits. Although #10 Joyce Shin nearly exposed herself.

During the swim wear round, #1 Ana Man who has a big chest figure, originally performed quite well. However when her family members were shown on the screen cheering her, she appeared quite fragile and cried rapidly, it seemed she was trying to get sympathy points, but due to her "acting" being too obvious, she didn't place in the Top 8.
